CLASS-A (Confederação de Legitimação e Assessoria ao Saneamento Sustentável e Água) is an multisectoral platform for action for the preservation of the environment, water resources and sustainable sanitation in particular. CLASS A aims to articulate issues and solutions and coordinate efforts with a view to promote and revitalize of Sanitation in Maputo Province, Mozambique. The group consists of Department of Public Works and Housing in Matola, Department of Environmental Coordination in Matola, Biobox and supported by IWA and WSMART
CLASS-A (Confederação de Legitimação e Assessoria ao Saneamento Sustentável e Água)is an independent forum of operative and technical professionals with an insight into implementation realities for the articulation and coordination of efforts with a view to the promotion and revitalization of Sanitation in Maputo Province.
CLASS-A has been formed in the surge of demand of sanitation services benefiting public health. It is concerned of the lack of adequate practices and institutional capacity to manage city planning, environmental monitoring and regulation, housing and building standards, wise use of water, safe waste water management etc. It is committed to working to complement governmental efforts through advisory services and pilots to contribute to the implementation of best practices in technology, management, education and communication.
A CLASS-A aims to be an independent platform and operative unit for positive change for various stakeholders, including governments, business corporations and civil society acting in the field of sanitation and water as a valid point of reference at the municipal, provincial and national level.
Policy
A CLASS-A takes seriously the protection and preservation of the environment, water resources and sustainable sanitation in particular.
The policy work of the CLASS-A is based on the realization of human dignity and environmental values through the culture of sustainability and resilience. The executions of activities are developed based on a strategic plan that promotes the management based on objectives and measurable targets, while maintaining flexibility to adapt to change.

Improvement and revitalization of sustainable sanitation through proactive concrete actions for strengthening institutional and human capacities to principles of resilience.
Objectives
actively mobilize and involve non-state actors and governmental institutions and public in the revitalization of the integrated management of water and sanitation.
Create a resilience to disasters linked to water and sanitation assistance in solidarity with the global and decentralized cooperation.
Vision
We believe in building a society committed to the Mozambican culture and water & sanitation management for the achievement of sustainable development as a tool to combat poverty.
