Abstract
Project Background
The Southern Region Water Resources Office (SRWRO) owns and operates the 102-inch and 210-inch SRWRO Pipeline. Installation of this prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) Pipeline began in January 2001 and was completed in December 2003. After experiencing two failures in this relatively new pipeline (May 10, 2004 & July 18, 2005), they decided to take it out of service until they could perform a condition assessment and rehabilitate any degrading pipes to prevent another failure from occurring.
