As the WaterWiki has recently been launched, we would like to invite all new users to contribute.

We are looking for a broad range of reference articles on all areas of water science. Contributors can find, correct, edit and expand existing articles or create new articles on the topics of their choice.

Here are some ideas for contributing material:

If you have an article that is already complete, that is great! You can go to the articles space and click Create New Article

There is already a list of preloaded 'Stub' articles under the different subject categories. If you would like to write any of these articles, click on the article heading that you would like to write on, and start adding your material. E.G.

If you have an idea for an article, but have not yet developed any content, why not create an article with some useful information to encourage others to complete it? You could add a list of references or a basic explanation of your topic as a starting point. Have a look at this article for ideas: Ecotoxicology

If you have seen a suitable article, elsewhere, on sites such as Wikipedia, you can use this. Either revise and rework certain aspects of the article or simply copy it straight across. You can do this with all websites that have a Creative Commons Compatible License (this is always prominently marked on the website).

The WaterWiki needs your help in order to grow! If you have any colleagues or contacts who would be interested in contributing, please tell them About the site or Send Us their details.

If you have any questions about contributing to the site, please contact us. We'd love to hear your comments.
