New feature for groups and research networks!

We are pleased to offer a new feature for groups and research networks: a free web space on the WaterWiki site.

The WaterWiki could provide a permanent host for your project, offering a customizable area for you, and your group, to share ideas and discuss research findings.

Click here? to see the Community Portal template.?

To set up your own community portal, please contact Victoria Beddow, the WaterWiki Community Manager.

By setting up a private space on the Wiki, you will have a continuous free web presence that can be updated by the click of a button.

You can:

  • Circulate documents: use the Wiki as a central depository for your group and their work in progress (shared documents, project plans, contact details etc). N.B these documents can be made privately available to members of the group only.
  • Co-ordinate your project: Find out who is doing what, and where they are doing it. Discuss recent developments and share information by using your own group Discussion Pages.
  • Plan Meetings: Create a calendar to list all of your up and coming events and meetings. You can continuously add to this at any time.
  • Add Contacts: Add a list of useful contact details for your research group. As with all of your details and documents, this can be privately available to members of the group.
  • Communicate and Access a wider network: Need advice on your research? Discuss recent developments, ask for contributions for case studies, and promote your project work to other water professionals.
  • Promote your Organization: Raise the profile of your organization by creating an Organization Profile. Describe its importance within the water community, link your profile to your relevant web pages and add contact details to encourage participation.
  • Articles:The WaterWiki provides a number of free reference articles on all areas of water, wastewater and environmental science. Look through our list of featured articles to find up to date material on your research interests.
  • Publish your work: Do you have any unpublished material that you would like to distribute to the water community? Use the Articles space on the website to host your material.

We are happy to set up an area on the website, specifically for your group and your different needs. To set this up, please contact

Victoria Beddow.
